Abstract

Köstendilli Süleyman Şeyhî -1153/1750- the sheikh of Nakhshibendi school, wrote Nikâtü?l Hikem for his dervishes who had some questions in their minds in the beginning of their spritual education. According to his own mention, his work is consisting of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. Introduction of Nikâtü?l Hikem deals with the main reason of writing, first chapter deals with the problem of mebde ?creation of the universe-, yakîn and the reflecting of Gods beauty on human being, second chapter deals with necessity of returning back of human being to its originality after killing his egoism and selfishness with the help of His perfect master, third chapter deals with mead-the life after death and conclusion deals with the reality of human being. In addition these issues, auther focuses on the some mystical problems such as tevekkül -submission-, destiny, fate, responsibility, second life, heaven and hell, and their hidden causes. All these sayings are united at the reality of God?s existence and His oneness and the impossibility of reaching to Him without a perfect guide. We see that during the period between the end of 18th century and the beginning of 19th century, Nikâtü?l Hikem was important for reflecting Sheikh of Nakhshibendi?s thoughts and comments about Vahdet-i Vücûd in the Balkans beyond its center, Istanbul.

Ancak tüm bu anlatılanlar, Hakk'ın varlığından başka varlığın olmadığı, Hakk'a mürşid-i kâmil olmadan erişilemeyeceği noktasında birleşmektedir.Eser, Köstendilli Süleyman Şeyhî'nin vahdet-i vücûd öğretisini benimsediğini göstermektedir. Nikâtü'l-Hikem 18. yüzyılın sonu 19. yüzyılın başında, dönemin kültür merkezi olan İstanbul'un dışında, Balkanlar'da, bir Nakşibendî şeyhinin vahdet-i vücûd hakkındaki görüşlerini ve yorumlarını yansıtması bakımından önemlidir.
