In this study the effect of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise on the quality of life and hope levels of patients with stage 1-3 breast cancer treated with adjuvant chemotherapy was investigated.In the research, mixed method model was used as an analysis technique in which both quantitative and qualitative methods were used together. Embedded (internalized) pattern was used as the research design, homogenous sampling method was preferred in the sample selection. In this regard, the study group consisted of patients who were undergoing treatment in the Department of Medical Oncology at Kayseri Education and Research Hospital and who had received adjuvant chemotherapy and the conditions were determined as exclusion criteria for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, above BKI> 40.The control group consisted of 7 breast cancer patients and the experimental group consisted of 7 breast cancer patients who participated voluntarily in the regular aerobic exercise for 12 weeks and who lived in Kayseri.In the research, questionnaire as a data collection tool by providing a diversification of data and semi-structured interviews and observation forms were used. The quantitative data of the study 12- week study and the study applied to patients in the last week of before: The Quality of Life Scale developed by the Erhan Eser and friends (1999) World Health Organization (WHO) (1998), Quality of Life Scale consisting of in the form of 5 likert and 27 articles and The Continuous Hope Scale developed by Sinem Tarhan, Hasan Bacanlı (2015), consisting of in the form of 8 likert and 13 articles were collected through the Turkish Form. The validity and reliability of the qualitative data of the research was provided by applying to the expert opinion and by making the confirmation of peer.SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences-22) packaged software as used in the analysis of quantitative data of the research. For the determination of the assumption of normality, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk statistics of normality of the distribution made, however, according to the central limit theorem, nonparametric test decision was taken considering the number of data groups. In the analysis of qualitative data, content analysis was preferred and categories, subcategories and codes were formed.According to the results of the analysis, it can be said that independent variables (gender, age, marital status, education level, aerobic exercises) affect some of the side effects of quality of life, level of hope, physical health, psychological health, social health and treatment.

Bu çalışmada adjuvan kemoterapi tedavisi görmüş evre 1-3 meme kanseri hastalara uygulanan 12 haftalık aerobik egzersizlerin hastaların yaşam kalitesi ve umut düzeyine etkisi araştırılmıştır.Araştırmada modeli olarak nicel ve nitel yöntemlerin birlikte kullanıldığı karma yöntem modeli benimsenmiştir. Araştırma deseni olarak gömülü (içe yerleşik) desen kullanılmış, örneklem seçiminde benzeşik (homojen) örnekleme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın çalışma grubu Kayseri Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi tıbbi onkoloji bölümünde tedavisi devam etmekte olan ve adjuvan kemoterapi almış hastalar arasından oluşturulmuş; hariç tutma kriterleri olarak ise kontrol edilemeyen kardiyovasküler hastalıklar, diyabet, BKI>40 üzeri koşullar belirlenmiştir. Kontrol grubu 7 meme kanseri hastasından, deney grubu ise 12 hafta boyunca düzenli aerobik egzersiz uygulamasına gönüllü olarak katılan ve Kayseri'de yaşayan 7 meme kanseri hastasından oluşturulmuştur.Araştırmada veri çeşitlenmesi sağlanarak veri toplama aracı olarak anket, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ve gözlem formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri 12 hafta süren çalışmadan önce ve çalışmanın son haftasında hastalara uygulanan: Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (WHO) (1998) tarafından geliştirilen, 5'li likert şeklinde ve 27 maddeden oluşan Türkçeye uyarlanması Erhan Eser ve arkadaşları (1999) tarafından yapılan Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği ve Sinem Tarhan, Hasan Bacanlı (2015) tarafından geliştirilen, 8'li likert şeklinde 13 maddeden oluşan Sürekli Umut Ölçeği Türkçe Formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verilerinin geçerlik ve güvenirliği ise uzman görüşüne başvurularak sağlanmıştır.Araştırmanın nicel verilerinin analizinde SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences-22) paket programı kullanılmıştır. Normallik varsayımının belirlenmesi için Kolmogov-Smirnov ve Shapiro-Wilk normallik dağılım istatistiği yapılmış ancak merkezi limit teoremine göre veri grubunun sayısı dikkate alınarak nonparametrik test kararı alınmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi tercih edilerek kategori, alt kategori ve kodlar oluşturulmuştur.Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre, bağımsız değişkenlerin (cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum, eğitim seviyesi, aerobik egzersizler) yaşam kalitesi, umut düzeyi, fiziksel sağlık, psikolojik sağlık, sosyal sağlık ve tedavi yan etkilerinden bazılarını etkilediği söylenebilir.
