Abstract

Isatis L. is important plants that have been used for both dye and medicinal purposes since the ancient times. Indole alkaloids such as tryptanthrin, indirubin and isatin obtained from the leaves and roots of plants belong to Isatis genus are pharmacologically active compounds used in the treatment of various diseases. Indican compound is the precursor of the indigo (blu dye). In this study, the amounts of tryptanthrin, indirubin, isatin and indican in leaf and root parts of Isatis constricta P. H. Davis plant samples were investigated in both vegetative and flowering periods. Analyzes were performed by HPLC (High Hressure Liquid Chromatography) instrument. Tryptanthrin (0.482 ± 0.0072 μg / g) and indirubin amount (0.029 ± 0.00007 μg / g) were determined as the highest values in the leaf samples obtained during the vegetative period of I. constricta. In the leaf samples obtained during the flowering period, it was determined that the amounts of isatin (4.358 ± 0.0985 µg/g) and indican (21.330 ± 0.114) have the highest value.Key Words: I. constricta P. Isatis L. geçmişten beri hem boya hem de tıbbi amaçla kullanılan önemli bitkilerdir. Isatis cinsine ait olan bitkilerin yaprak ve köklerinden elde edilen triptantrin, indirubin ve izatin indol alkaloidleri çeşitli hastalıkların tedavisinde kullanılan, farmakolojik olarak aktif bileşiklerdir. Bu bitkilerde bulunan indikan bileşiği indigonun (mavi renk) öncül maddesidir. Bu çalışmada materyal olarak kullanılan Isatis constricta P. H. Davis bitki örneklerinin hem vejetatif hem de çiçekli dönemlerinde yaprak ve kök kısımlarındaki triptantrin, indirubin, izatin ve indikan miktarları incelenmiştir. Analiz işlemleri HPLC (Yüksek Basınçlı Sıvı Kromatografisi) cihazı ile yapılmıştır. I. constricta'nın vejetatif döneminde alınan yaprak örneklerindeki triptantrin (0.482 ± 0.0072 µg/g) ve indirubin miktarlarının (0.029 ± 0.00007 µg/g) en yüksek değere sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çiçekli dönemde alınan yaprak örneklerinde ise izatin (4.358 ± 0.0985 µg/g) ve indikan miktarının (21.330 ± 0.114) en yüksek değere sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: I. constricta P.
