Abstract

Post-core restorations are commonly used for the treatment of pulpless teeth with extensive loss of structure. The purpose of this study was to investigate the microleakage of endodontically treated teeth restored with a current post system, zirconium oxide posts.Seventy two freshly extracted human premolar teeth were selected for this study. Sandblasting with aluminium oxide particles, ceramic primer and Rocatec tribochemical silica coating system were applied to surfaces of zirconium oxide posts and each post group was cemented with using both Rely X ARC and Rely X Unicem adhesive resin cement (n=12). Restorations were completed with composite cores and full metal crowns. All samples were subjected to dynamic loading and thermocycling to simulate a one-year service in oral environment in an attempt to reflect the natural conditions. Following these procedures, teeth were subjected to methylene blue solution and analyzed under stereomicroscope for microleakage. Twelve samples were selected randomly, were analyzed under SEM and their cement atachment losses were evaluated.Following the statistical evaluations, there was no observed any significant difference about microleakage between surface arrangement procedures. Statistically there was no difference between microlekage values of Rely X Unicem adhesive resin cement and Rely X ARC cement.Key words: Adhesive resin cements, ceramic primer, microleakage, Rocatec, sandblasting, zirconium oxide posts.

Endodontik tedavi geçirmiş ve çeşitli nedenlere bağlı olarak madde kaybına uğramış dişlerin tedavisinde post-kor restorasyonları yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmamızın temel amacı güncel bir post sistemi olan prefabrike zirkonyum oksit postlar ile restore edilmiş endodontik tedavili dişlerin mikrosızıntılarının incelenmesidir.Bu çalışma için 72 adet yeni çekilmiş premolar diş kullanılmıştır. Zirkonyum oksit post yüzeylerine alüminyum oksit partikülleri ile kumlama, seramik primer ve Rocatec tribokimyasal silika kaplama sistemi uygulanmış ve her post grubu Rely X ARC ve Rely X Unicem adeziv rezin siman kullanılarak simante edilmiştir (n=12). Restorasyonlar kompozit kor ve tam metal kronlar ile tamamlanmıştır. Örneklere doğal ortamı olabildiğince yansıtabilmek için bir senelik kullanımı taklit edecek şekilde dinamik yükleme ve ısısal döngü uygulanmıştır. Bu işlemleri takiben dişler metilen mavisi solüsyonunda bekletilmiş ve stereomikroskop altında mikrosızıntıları değerlendirilmiştir. Örnekler içerisinden rastgele seçilmiş 12 örnek SEM altında incelenmiş ve siman bağlantı kaybı değerlendirilmiştir.İstatistiksel değerlendirmeler sonucunda yüzey düzenleme işlemleri arasında mikrosızıntı açısından önemli bir farklılık tespit edilmemiştir. Rely X Unicem adeziv rezin siman ve Rely X ARC rezin simanın mikrosızıntı değerleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan önemli bir fark bulunmamıştır.Anahtar sözcükler: Adeziv rezin simanlar, kumlama, mikrosızıntı, Rocatec, seramik primer, zirkonyum oksit postlar.
