Phthalocyanines are planar macrocyclic compounds containing nitrogen in the nucleus cycle. Both metal ions and substituents have significant effects on the physical and chemical properties of phthalocyanines. Thanks to these adjustable features, their 18 π electronic structure, high thermal and optical properties; Phthalocyanines act as functional compounds in key scientific applications such as molecular electronics, semiconductors and liquid crystals as sensors, electrochromic systems, nonlinear optical materials, dye-based solar cells, cancer therapy and other medical applications as photodynamic materials.Physical properties of phthalocyanines can be changed with the central metal ions and the substituents in the peripheral or nonperipheral positions. It is possible to obtain unlimited number of new Pcs if several different metal ions are coordinated to the center of the Phthalocyanine and a large number of different substituents are considered.Electrocatalysis can be used to produce eco-friendly electricity. However, to become widespread of fuel cell technology remains restricted by high costs and limited resistance. It is well known that some expensive catalysts like platinum and platinum -alloys are the most popular electrocatalysts on oxygen reduction reaction and oxygen evolution reaction. Because of the high cost and shortage of catalysis materials, efforts are concentrated on non-precious metal-based compounds in recent years. Since a transition metal N4-type chelate had been used on oxygen electrocatalysis by Jasinski first in 1964, various N4-macrocycles such as transition metal phthalocyanines and porphyrins were used on oxygen electrocatalysisIn this study, first, the catalyst is included for various purposes, the new tetrakis 2-(dibenzylamino) ethoxyl-substituted nickel (II), cobalt (II) and manganese (II) phthalocyanines coordinated with Ni, Co and Mn metal ions.The new phthalonitrile ligand was prepared from 2-(dibenzylamino)ethan-1-ol and 4-nitrophthalonitrile inacetonitrile at reflux temperature in the presence of potassium carbonate as catalyst. The structural characterization of the compounds was carried out by elemental analysis, FTIR, UV–vis and MALDI-TOF Mass spectroscopic methods.

Farklı metal iyonlarının ftalosiyanin merkezine koordinasyon olasılığı ve çok sayıdafarklı sübstitüentlerin bağlandığı düşünülürse, sınırsız sayıda yeni ftalosiyanin eldesi mümkündür. Elektrokataliz çevre dostu elektrik üretmek için kullanılabilir. Bununla birlikte, yakıt hücresi teknolojisinin yaygınlaşması, yüksek maliyetler ve sınırlı dirençle kısıtlı kalmaktadır. Geçiş metali N4 tipi şelat, ilk olarak 1964'te Jasinski tarafından oksijen elektrokatalizinde kullanıldığından, geçiş metali ftalosiyaninler ve porfirinler gibi çeşitliN4-makrosiklleri oksijen elektrokatalizinde kullanılabilmektedir.Bu çalışmada, öncelikli olarak katalizör olarak kullanılmak üzere Ni, Co ve Mn metalleri ile koordine yeni tetrakis 2- (dibenzilamino) etoksil ikameli nikel (II), kobalt (II) ve manganez (II) ftalosiyaninler sentezlenmiştir. Yeni ftalonitril ligand, katalizör olarak potasyumkarbonat varlığında geri akış sıcaklığında asetonitril içindeki 2- (dibenzilamino) etan-1- ol ve 4-nitroftalonitrilden hazırlandı. Bileşiklerin yapısal karakterizasyonu elementel analiz, FTIR, UV-vis ve MALDI-TOF Kütle spektroskopik metotları ile gerçekleştirildi.
