The aim of this research is to determine the role of the parents and teachers on existing attitudes of 4th and 5th grade students towards their homeworks. So, the questionary has been constituted to determine the teachers and student's parents strategies about the homeworks are; besides, the attitude scale has been aplied to define the attitudes of the students. In addition to these studies, semistructured conversation forms have been prepared to define the opinions of the students, teachers and parents about the subject.The research is a descriptive study at scanning model. The sample of the research includes in 100 teachers who work at the schools in Seyhan, Adana, 125 students who are presently studying in these schools and 119 families. To analyze data, SPSS program was used. The statistical techniques t-test, One Way ANOVA, frequency and percentage were used to analyze the data. To analyze qualitative data was made content analyze.As a result of the framework research findings obtained in the, student's attitudes towards homework is identified as positive. According to gender, class level and types of homeworks (which are independent variables) there are no significant differences in the behaviors of the students towards their homeworks. An important difference has been formed between the student's behaviours and the period of time that they are spending daily on their homeworks.. Moreover, it reveals that both of the teachers and parents are following usually the proper strategies for homeworks. In the lights of these findings, the approach of families and teachers has been understood to be effective about students have positive attitude towards to their homeworks. It has been identified that significant differences emerged between the strategies which teachers implement for homeworks and gender, branch, professional seniority. Furthermore, it has been identified that there is no important difference about the school/cirriculum that they graduate. It has been observed the number of children of parents is effective on homework strategies for their implementation, but it has been determined that the variables of educational status, occupations and incomings are not effective.

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ilköğretim 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin ev ödevlerine yönelik tutumlarının oluşmasında öğretmenlerin ve ailelerin rolünü belirlemektir. Bu amaçla, öğretmen ve velilerin ev ödevlerine yönelik stratejilerini belirlemek için anket formu, öğrencilerin tutumlarını belirlemek üzere ise tutum ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak; öğretmenlerin, velilerin ve öğrencilerin konuyla ilgili görüşlerini saptamak amacıyla yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları geliştirilmiştir.Araştırma tarama modelinde betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Adana İli Seyhan İlçesi sınırları içinde bulunan okullarda görev yapan 100 öğretmen ve bu okullarda eğitim gören 125 dördüncü ve beşinci sınıf öğrencileri ile bu öğrencilerin velileri olan 119 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Sayısal verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS paket programı kullanılmıştır. Analiz için t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, frekans ve yüzdelik değerler kullanılmıştır. Nitel veriler ise içerik analizi yapılarak değerlendirilmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde; öğrencilerin ev ödevlerine yönelik tutumlarının olumlu yönde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bağımsız değişkenlerden; cinsiyet, sınıf seviyesi ve verilen ödev türlerine göre öğrencilerin ev ödevlerine yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmamıştır. Öğrencilerin ödeve günlük ayırdıkları zaman ile tutumları arasında anlamlı farklılık oluşmuştur. Ayrıca, öğretmenlerin ve ailelerin ev ödevlerine yönelik ?genellikle? doğru stratejiler izledikleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bulgular ışığında, öğrencilerin ödevlere yönelik tutumlarının olumlu olmasında aile ve öğretmen yaklaşımının etkili olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin ev ödevlerine yönelik uyguladıkları stratejiler ile cinsiyet, branş ve mesleki kıdemleri arasında anlamlı farklılık ortaya çıktığı ve mezun oldukları okul/öğretim programları arasında anlamlı farklılık oluşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Velilerin ise sahip oldukları çocuk sayısının ev ödevlerine yönelik uyguladıkları stratejiler üzerinde etkili olduğu; öğrenim durumu, meslek ve aylık gelir değişkenlerinin etkili olmadığı belirlenmiştir.
