Abstract

This thesis is a study on some linear codes over two new finite rings R_(2^4 ) and R_(2^5 ) and two new class of the finite rings R_((2^k )^4 ) and R_(p^4 ) for the conditions k≥1 and odd prime p. Firstly, the fundamental properties of two new types of the finite rings and two new classes of the finite rings is investigated. The units are found, the ideals of the rings and the types of the ideals are determined and the new Gray maps are defined over them.In this thesis, the structure of the cyclic codes over the finite ring R_(2^4 ) and the class of finite rings R_(p^4 ) are determined and their generators are obtained. The relationship between cyclic and constacyclic codes over them is explained, by defining the cyclic and constacyclic codes over them. The Gray images of cyclic and constacyclic codes are obtained over them. Thanks to this, the possibilities are increased in order to obtain optimal codes over the finite fields.Finally, a general form is found to obtain 2 × 2 and 3 × 3 MDS (Maksimum Distance Seperable) involutive matrices over the finite field F_(2^m ). With this form, which includes the results of all methods used to obtain such matrices, less costly matrices are obtained in terms of XOR counts.

Bu tez R_(2^4 ), R_(2^5 ) isimli iki yeni sonlu halka ve k≥1 pozitif tamsayısı ve p tek asal sayısı için R_((2^k )^4 ), R_(p^4 ) isimli iki yeni sonlu halka sınıfı üzerinde tanımlı bazı lineer kodlar üzerine yapılmış bir çalışmadır.Başlangıçta, bu tezde verilen halka ve halka sınıflarının temel özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Bu halka ve halka sınıflarının birimselleri bulunmuş, idealleri ve tipleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, bu halka tipleri üzerinde yeni Gray dönüşümler tanımlanmıştır. Bu tezde verilen R_(2^4 ) sonlu halkası ve R_(p^4 ) halka sınıfı üzerinde devirli kodların yapısı belirlenmiş ve üreteçleri elde edilmiştir. Bu halka tipleri üzerinde, belirli uzunluğa sahip devirli ve sabit devirli kodlar tanımlanarak, aralarındaki ilişkiler ifade edilmiş ve bu kodların Gray görüntüleri belirlenmiştir. Böylece, sonlu cisimler üzerinde tanımlı optimal kodlar elde etme ihtimali arttırılmıştır.Son olarak, bileşenleri F_(2^m ) sonlu cisminden alınan 2×2 ve 3×3 boyutlu MDS (Maksimum Uzaklıkla Ayrılabilen) özellikli involutif matrisler elde etmek için genel bir form bulunmuştur. Bu tip matrisleri elde etmek için kullanılan tüm yöntemlerin sonuçlarını kapsayan bu form ile XOR sayısı açısından daha az maliyetli matrisler elde edilmiştir.
