The Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, which was introduced by Hans Freudenthal and developed by the Freudenthal Institute advocates that mathematics should not disconnected from students' real life and mathematics should be learned by experiencing. GME asserts that mathematics should be a human activity and it aims to make mathematics more meaningful for students. Activities were chosen within the scope of the GME approach, which was adopted as the theoretical framework of the present study. The objective of the study was to conduct a process-oriented assessment by using a portfolio with one sample group and an electronic portfolio with the other. In order to assess the effectiveness of the use of electronic portfolio, a descriptive content analysis was performed by using the criteria that were developed in collaboration with the experts in the field.This study is designed as an collaborative action research method which is one the qualitative research methods. Activities created from the problem situations that students can face in their real lives have been applied on two selected sample. At the end of the application, 6 students were chosen from different levels from two samples and their opinions about activities and the use of electronic portfolio were taken. The Study was carried out at Mehmetçik Imam Hatip Secondary School in the district of Güngören in Istanbul. In March and April 2018, a total of 8 weeks was maintained with the process. Target sample of study consists of 60 students who continue to seventh grade. However, since participation in the study is voluntary, the number of students attended in each event may vary. The participants were selected with the convenience sampling method. The data obtained according to sub-headings were collected and evaluated under 5 main headings. It is seen that there is no superiority of one sample to another sample in terms of main topics such as; designing the product, expressing its mathematical idea, making research, using its mathematical knowledge and originality.As a result, the evaluation criteria showed that there is not a significant difference between two samples according to evaluation criterias, but the opinions of the students in the sample used in electronic portfolio showed that using e-portfolio has positive effects on students' opinions.

Gerçekçi Matematik Eğitimi (GME) yaklaşımı matematiğin gerçek hayattan kopuk olmamasını, gerçek hayatın bir parçası olmasını ve matematiğin yaparak yaşanılarak öğrenilmesi gerektiğini savunmaktadır. GME matematiğin bir insan aktivitesi olması gerektiğini savunur ve matematiğin öğrenciler için daha anlamlı olmasını amaçlar. Bu çalışmada GME kapsamında hazırlanan etkinlerin seçilen iki örneklemden birinde klasik portfolyo, diğer örneklemde ise elektronik portfolyo kullanımı ile süreç değerlendirilmesine odaklanılması ve uzman görüşü alınarak oluşturulan kriterler bazında betimsel analiz yapılarak elektronik portfolyo kullanımının etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma türlerinden olan işbirlikçi eylem araştırması olarak tasarlanan çalışmada öğrencilerin gerçek hayatlarında karşılaşabilecekleri problem durumlarından oluşturulan etkinlikler 8 hafta boyunca seçilen iki örnekleme uygulanmıştır. Uygulama sonunda iki örneklemden farklı seviyelerden üçer öğrenci seçilerek öğrencilerin etkinlikler ve elektronik portfolyo kullanımı hakkında görüşleri alınmıştır. Çalışma 2017-2018 eğitim ve öğretim yılında İstanbul'da Güngören ilçesinde bulunan Mehmetçik İmam Hatip Ortaokulu'nda gerçekleştirilmiş olup, mart ve nisan aylarında olmak üzere toplam 8 haftalık bir süreç içerisinde sürdürülmüştür. Araştırmanın hedef kitlesi 7. sınıfa devam eden 60 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Ancak çalışmaya katılım gönüllülük esasına dayandığından dolayı her etkinlikte katılan öğrenci sayısı değişim göstermektedir. Çalışmada alt başlıklara göre elde edilen veriler 5 ana başlık altında toplanarak değerlendirilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Ürün tasarlayabilme, matematiksel fikrini açıkça ifade edebilme, araştırma yapma becerisi, matematiksel bilgisini kullanabilmesi ve orjinallik olarak belirlenen ana başlıklara bakıldığında bir örneklemin diğer bir örnekleme genel olarak bir üstünlüğünün bulunmadığı görülmektedir.Sonuç olarak değerlendirme kriterleri bazında iki örneklem kıyaslandığında birbirlerine göre önemli bir farklılık görülmemesine rağmen elektronik portfolyo kullanılan örneklemdeki öğrencilerin görüşleri elektronik portfolyo kullanımının olumlu etkilerinin olduğunu göstermektedir.
