This master of sciences thesis, pure and different ratios (%1, %3, %5, %7 ve %10) of boron doped TiO2 thin films were grown on the glass substrate by using sol-gel dip coating method having some benefits such as basic and easy applicable compared to other thin film production methods. To investigate the effect of boron doped on the physical properties of TiO2, the structural, morphological and optical properties of growth thin films were examined. Optical properties are examined that %1 boron-doped has no effect on optical properties of TiO2 thin film; however, the optical properties vary with greater than %1. From X-ray diffraction spectra, it has seen that TiO2 thin films together with doping of boron were formed TiB2 hegzagonal structure having (111) orientation, B2O3 cubic structure having (310) orientation, TiB0.024O2 tetragonal structure having rutil phase (110) orientation and polycrystalline structures. From SEM images, it has seen that particles together with doping of boron have homogeneously distributed and well hold on to surface.

Bu tez çalışmasında, saf ve farklı oranlarda (%1, %3, %5, %7 ve %10) bor katkılanarak TiO2 ince filmleri, ince film üretim yöntemleri arasında basit ve uygulanabilirliği kolay olan sol-jel yönteminin daldırma ile kaplama metodu kullanılarak cam alttaş üzerine büyütülmüştür. Katkılanan bor elementinin TiO2'nin fiziksel özellikleri üzerinde yaptığı etkiyi incelemek için üretilen ince filmlerin optiksel, yapısal ve morfolojik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Optiksel özellikler incelendiğinde, %1 B katkısının TiO2 ince filminin optiksel özellikleri üzerine bir etkisinin olmadığı ancak daha büyük katkılamalarda optiksel özelliklerin değiştiği görülmüştür. X-ışını kırınım spektrumları incelendiğinde, B katkısı ile birlikte TiO2 ince filmlerinin yapısında (111) yönelimine sahip TiB2 hegzagonal, (310) yönelimine sahip B2O3 kübik ve (110) yönelimine sahip rutil fazda TiB0.024O2 tetragonal ve polikristal yapıların oluştuğu görülmüştür. SEM görüntüleri incelendiğinde ise B katkısı ile birlikte tanelerin homojen olarak dağıldığı ve yüzeye tutunmaların iyi olduğu görülmüştür.
