Aim: This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between women's sexual distress and marital satisfaction, and the effective factors in this regard.Material and Method: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out with 291 women, who were at least 18 years old, married, not entered menopause and who applied to gynecology outpatient clinics and agreed to participate in the study. The study data were collected by the Personal Information Form, the Marriage Satisfaction Scale (MSS) and the Female Sexual Distress Scale (FSDS). For data analysis, descriptive statistics, student's t-test, One Way ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis test, Mann Whitney U test, Sheffe test and Pearson correlation coefficient were used. Results: The average FSDS score of females was 8.02±9.17, and the mean MSS score was 50.85±8.89. Sexual distress were found in 26.1% of the women. Women without sexual distress were found to have higher marital satisfaction scores than women with sexual distress and the difference was statistically significant (p=0.000). It was determined that there was a moderate correlation between negative FSDS and MSS scores in women (r = -. 450, p = 0.000). Positive correlations were found between FSDS scores and spouse age (r = .118), duration of marriage (r = .169) and marriage age (r = -. 194). The average FSDS scores were significantly higher in the women, who was primary and secondary school graduate, married with family repressive, who had urinary incontinence, urinary tract and reproductive system infection, had chronic illness and drug use, who had a spouse with premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction problems (p<0.05). The average MSS score was higher in the women who had been college graduate, were living in nuclear family, had good income, married with consent, were using modern family planning methods, had no urinary tract and reproductive system infections, and whose spouses had no premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction problems, and the differences between the groups were significant (p<0.05).Conclusion: It was determined that women's sexual distress affect marital satisfaction and that increased sexual distress decreases their marital satisfaction.

Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistiksel yöntemler, Student t-testi, One Way ANOVA testi, Kruskal Wallis testi, Mann Whitney U testi, Sheffe testi ve Pearson korelasyon katsayısı kullanıldı.
