Abstract

After the battle of Talas (M.751) Islamization movement has started along with the Turkish tribes who choose to Islam in Central Asia. Sufi dervishes and Sufi Poets have a significant role in this movement. Khoja Ahmed Yesevi is one of the most important of these Sufi Poets.Khoja Ahmed Yesevi's life, Yesevi thought system and sociological Turk effects on Islamic philosopy have been reviewed into this study. Knoja Ahmed Yesevi is became prominent with his epic life rather than his historical life and he has been taken his place in history as a great Sufi Poet with leaving remarkable traces in thesense of Islam of Turks. This thought system has still continue its effects and influences in the context of different sects which has been effected on a large geography such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Central Asia and Pakistan, India, Rumelia and Anatolia.Key Words; Khoja Ahmed Yesevi, The Yesevi system of thought (Yesevism), Turkishness, Islam, Mysticism.

Talas savaşından (M. 751) sonra kitleler halinde İslam'ı seçen Türk boyları ile birlikte Orta Asya'da bir İslamlaşma süreci başlamıştır. Bu hareket içerisinde sufi dervişlerin ve mutasavvıfların rolü büyüktür. İşte bu mutasavvıfların en önemlilerinden birisi de Hoca Ahmed Yesevi'dir. Bu çalışmada; Hoca Ahmed Yesevi'nin hayatı, Yesevilik düşünce sistemi ve Türklerin din anlayışına sosyolojik etkileri incelenmiştir. Tarihi hayatından çok menkıbevi hayatı ile öne çıkan Hoca Ahmed Yesevi, Türklerin İslam anlayışına önemli izler bırakmış bir mutasavvıf olarak tarihteki yerini almıştır. Bugünkü Özbekistan, Kazakistan, Türkmenistan ve Tacikistan'ı içine alan Orta Asya'ya; Pakistan ve Afganistan ile birlikte Hindistan'a; Rumeli ve Anadolu'ya uzanan çok geniş bir coğrafyaya etki eden bu düşünce sistemi, günümüzde halen farklı isimlerdeki tarikatların bünyesinde etkisini sürdürmektedir.
