Fractal geometry deals with shapes obtained by infinite repetition of simple geometric rules. Fractal forms are obtained with continued repetition of functions, i.e., 'iteration'. Important characteristics of fractal geometry are sensitive dependence on initial conditions and iteration rules, its infinite complexity and self-similarity under change of scale. Fractal geometry has introduced into our lives intermediate values (decimal numbers) that can not be calculated by the Euclidean geometry.According to Kant's philosophy; the object-subject relation starts when the 'material' world of our concepts meet the 'material' world of our intuitions, and so differs his concept of `substance` from that of Plato. Art attempts at `pattern reading` in addition to the variations that the fractal geometry presents. It saves the artist from his/her obsessions of analytic thinking and `ideal ratio`/`golden ratio` and frees him/her, which in turn leads to a boosted creativity. Artist gets enriched with analytic rejections and experimentations that oscillate between spirituality and material world. Libertarian currents that emerge along with the French Revolution free themselves from the normative structure of the Renaissance and its restrictive contours; and the knowledge of the era, with `strange attractors` along with `avant-garde` way of thinking, brings art to its present extent and dimension. Although we are able to perceive chaos and patterns within a panoramic view of the history, it appears that the overarching rule of `unpredictability` kept generating diverse differential equations. It is a fact that `knowledge` and `intuition` have been strange attractors throughout the history, particles extant within the chaos have formed new dynamical systems with other similar particles and fractal forms have come forth. In art history, fractal dimension is a formation growing inside-out, just like the growth of snowflakes. When art history is considered within the context of chaotic dynamics, `avant-garde art movements` correspond to turbulence. The turbulence gets multiplied by the dynamics of the fluid and gives rise to fractals. And in this dynamics, the artist assumes the role of strange attractor. Keywords: Fractal, Pattern, Fluid, Turbulence, Strange attractors, Chaos, Repetition, Iteration.
