A lot of projects have been prepared since 1960?s for the aim of saving the GoldenHorn from its polution. Most of projects couldn?t be carried out. There are somecleaning projects made to be prepared again in 1995?s, have been started to be topicfor a lot of physical and chemical studies, biological improvement results have notbeen examined so much.Especially there has been carried out a little studies on fisheries at the Golden Horn. There is a study carried out at the years 1999 and 2000 on the water products at theGolden Horn by the way of making examples of larvae and egg. There were almostno sicientific studies and statistics about the fisheries belong to the periods cleantimes. That has a big role at comparison of the fisheries wich have turned back to theGolde Horn. There has been some researches about the fisheries wich havedisappeared at the polluted time of the Golden Horn and if they have turned backagain or not as a result of the Works of rehabilition, the species existing now andhow these species have entered to the insides. Life environments have big effects ongrowing long that means growing up. So that, Galata Bridge and Unkapanı BridgeStations have been selected for exploration and there have been some comparisonsby measuring the total lengths of the some species wich have been hunted at this twostations . At the results of this, a length difference generaly between the individualsof the some species at the two stations that have been November 2005 and May 2006has appeared. This difference has been found meaningful statistically for somespecies and hasn?t been found meaningful statistically for some species.

Haliç'i içinde bulunduğu kirlilikten kurtarmak amacıyla 1960'lı yıllardan itibarenbirçok proje hazırlanmıştır. Bu projelerin çoğu uygulanamamıştır. 1995'li yıllardaçeşitli üniversitelere ve enstitülere yeniden hazırlatılan Haliç'i temizleme projeleriuygulanmaya başlanmıştır.
