Abstract

In this study the effect of Resilon/Epiphany on microleakage was tested. Furthermore the effect of different irrigation solutions on the adhesion was tested. In the second part of the study the fractural resistance of these teeth were tested. Also 2 samples from each group was examined under SEM.80 mandibular premolar teeth were instrumented with the Pro-File Ni-Ti rotary system. Smear layer was removed in all samples. The teeth were divided into two main groups. %10 sodium ascorbate was used as the final solution in the first group. Distilled water was used in the second group. Resilon/Epiphany and gutta-percha/Diaket was used as obturation materials with lateral compaction technique.Resilon/Epiphany groups and the sodium ascorbate groups showed significantly less leakage. Fractural resistance test results revealed no statistically significant difference between groups.The results of the SEM study revealed that the monoblock in the Resilon/Epiphany groups is not perfect .

Çalışmamızda, Resilon/Epiphany'nin mikrosızıntıya etkisi, final irigasyonunda kullanılan farklı solüsyonların kanal dolgu materyallerinin dişe bağlanmasına etkisi ve dişlerin basma kuvvetlerine olan dirençleri değerlendirildi. Ayrıca gruplara ait 2'şer örnek SEM de incelendi.Çalışmada, 80 adet tek kanal ve tek köklü mandibuler premolar kullanıldı. Pro-File Ni-Ti döner sistemi kullanılarak şekillendirilen dişlerde smear tabakası uzaklaştırıldı. Dişler 2 ana gruba ayrıldı. Son yıkamada 1. grupta %10'luk sodyum askorbat, 2.grupta ise distile su kullanıldı. Kanal dolgu materyali olarak Güta-perka/Diaket veya Resilon/Epiphany, lateral kompaksiyon tekniğiyle kullanıldı.Resilon/Epiphany ile doldurulan gruplar ve %10 sodyum askorbat kullanılan gruplar anlamlı biçimde daha az sızıntı gösterdi. Kırılma dayanımı testinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre; gruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamadı. Yapılan SEM incelemelerinde ise Epiphany/Resilon ile oluştuğu iddia edilen monoblok yapının mükemmel olmadığı gözlendi.
