The gender phenomenon is one of the most important concepts that rise on traditions, customs, religion and cultural factors and are at the basis of social sciences. The concept of gender, which awaits the unquestioned acceptance of these roles, which are given and distributed various roles to the people living in the society, carries out studies to unify the society with the support of the government. The Queer Theory was adopted by the individuals whom the society marginalized for the purpose of initiating a resistance against the gender imposition, and even the queer word was adopted by these individuals. For the theorization of theory, important scientists have started various studies by taking advantage of social psychology and psychoanalysis. The texts of Judith Butler are of great importance for queer theory. The subject of this thesis titled ` A Turk From Europe In The Footsteps of Queer Theory: Ferzan Ozpetek and His Movies ` forms the queer theory and queer life forms which emerged as a contrary attitude to the roles imposed by the gender norms.
