Abstract:

This study was undertaken to investigate the components of some wild fruit species such as Crateagus oxyacantha, Berberis, vulgaris, Hippophae rhamnoides L., Sorbus aucuparia L. and Fragaria vesca L. grown naturally in Çoruh valley. Properties (water, protein, ash, total dry matter, total soluble solids, total sugar, reducing sugar, ascorbic acid, total acidity, pH and mineral composition (P, K, Ca, Na, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn) of these species were determined. Results of this study indicated that, the nutritional value of the wild fruit species investigated was high and it was suggested that the species should be cultured to benefit of their high values.

Bu araştırmada Çoruh vadisinde doğal olarak yetişen bazı yabani meyve türlerinde önemli bileşim öğeleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada materyal olarak alıç (Crateagus oxyacantha), kızamık (Berberis vulgaris), kuş iğdesi (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) üvez (Sorbus aucuparia L.) ve yabani çilek (Fragaria vesca L.) meyveleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada adı geçen meyve türlerinin kimyasal bileşimleri (su, protein, kül, toplam kuru madde, suda çözünebilir kuru madde, toplam şeker, indirgen şeker, vitamin C, toplam asit, pH) ve mineral madde içerikleri (P, K, Ca, Na, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn) incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, incelenen yabani meyve türlerinin besin maddesi içeriği bakımından oldukça zengin oldukları ve bu meyve türlerinin kültüre alınmasının yararlı olacağı kanaatine varılmıştır.
