Abstract:

The mawlid genre, which first appeared in Arabic literature as an expression of deep love and reverence for the Prophet Muhammad, first appeared in Turkish literature at the turn of the 15th century. The history of composing mawlids in Turkish literature began with Ahmedi, reached its pinnacle with Süleyman Çelebi, and continues to this day with hundreds of mawlid texts in the works. Ahmed's Mawlid, penned in 873 AH, is one of these mawlid texts (146869 CE). This work, which is indicative of Old Anatolian Turkish literature, also serves as an important link in the Mawlid literature. Many manuscripts of Ahmed's Mawlid can be found in Turkish and international libraries. No previous study has brought these copies to the public's attention. In certain sources, there are also inaccurate records of copies of Ahmed's Mawlid. The present study provides information about Ahmed and his Mawlid, introduces a total of 7 copies of Mawlid in Turkish, German, and Macedonian libraries, and attempts to amend false records regarding the copies of Mawlid.

Hz. Bazı kaynaklarda Ahmed’in Mevlid’inin nüshalarına dair hatalı kayıtlar da yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada Ahmed ve Mevlid’i hakkında bilgiler verilmiş, Mevlid’in Türkiye, Almanya ve Makedonya kütüphanelerinde yer alan toplam 7 nüshası tanıtılmış ve Mevlid’in nüshalarına dair hatalı kayıtlar düzeltilmeye çalışılmıştır.
