Abstract:

Fakhrî b. Mevlânâ Muhammed Emîrî-i Herevî (d. Late 16th century), made important contributions to both Turkish and Iranian literature and history, was the son of the statesman and an originally Turkish poet Mevlânâ Emîrî-i Horâsânî and opened his eyes to the world in Herat province of Khorasan. Since he was born in Herat, he is referred to as "Herevî", "Herati". In addition to these pennames, the alias of “Emir” is used for him. He made his mark with the name of “Fakhrî-i Herevî” and was one of the important translators, poets and authors of the tenth century. Although the great reputation of Fakhrî-i Herevî, also known as Fakhrî-i Herevî, is mentioned, there is no compact information about his life story and there is very little information about him. On the other hand, the existing information is also a repetition of each other and is extremely limited, insufficient and incomplete. It should be noted that there have been studies bearing Fakhrî-i Herevî and his pieces in the field of India and Iran. However, it can be said that although he was one of the prominent poets with a Turkish background who contributed to Turkish history and literature with his studies, Fakhrî-i Herevî is not well known in our country. The first person who made us aware of Fakhrî-i Herevî and made the importance of his work named Ravzatu's-Selâtîn evident to us is the late historian Mehmed Fuad Köprülü. In some of today's research books and articles, the existence of two valuable works written by him, which is considered as the first in his field, is only mentioned. Apart from the two mentioned pieces, several other studies have contributed to various fields and have survived centuries and are not yet well known. In summary, due to the lack of both his life and his pieces, this article will try to reveal in detail the little known life, studies and literary personality of Fahrî-i Herevî in the light of the information obtained.

Mevlânâ Muhammed Emîrî-i Herevî (ö. 16.yüzyıl sonları), Türk asıllı devlet adamı ve şair Mevlânâ Emîrî-i Horâsânî’nin oğludur.
