Abstract:

 


Crypto entity; the digital asset that uses cryptography to secure transactions, and whose function is to perform value swap transactions, whose operation is used as an alternative exchange tool to cash. In recent years, interest in crypto money (especially Bitcoin) has increased rapidly. However, there is no consensus on the accounting of crypto money yet. Recently, international regulatory authorities and experts have expressed different views on the accounting of crypto assets. The opinions raised are generally suggestions. The current IFRS standards do not explicitly refer to crypto currencies. In this study; the aim of this work is to present the information and practices about the applications of accounting for crypto money by considering current regulations. For this purpose, current accounting discussions regarding crypto assets were analyzed and the application proposal was presented on how to account for crypto money in the light of different opinions in practice.

Kripto para; nakde alternatif olarak kullanılabilecek, takas ve değer saklama aracı olarak özellik gösteren, temelini hukuki yasalardan değil kriptografi tekniğinden alan dijital ve finansal varlıklardır. Son dönemlerde kripto paraya olan ilgi büyük ölçüde artmıştır, bunun yanı sıra bahsi geçen paraların nasıl muhasebeleştirileceğine dair bir fikir birliğine varılamamıştır. Bu ihtiyaca karşılık olarak ilgili uzmanlar ve otoriteler değişik görüşler benimsemişlerdir. Bu görüşler genel manada tavsiye özelliği taşımaktadır. Güncel UFRS standartları kripto paralara açık bir şekilde atıfta bulunmamaktadır. Bu makalede; kripto paralarla ilgili güncel çalışmalar ele alınmış ve ihtiyacı çözmeye yönelik olarak tartışılmıştır. Bu hedef doğrultusunda kripto paralarla ilgili düzenlemeler ve çalışmalar analiz edilmiş, değerlendirme sürecinin ardından bunların nasıl muhasebeleştirileceği ile ilgili olarak uygulama önerisi ortaya konulmuştur.
