 ملخص: 
تحاول هذه الورقة البحثية رصد واقع إدمان الشباب للإنترنت من خلال فهم طبيعة اتجاهاتهم نحو هذه الوسيلة وأشكال أو أنماط الإدمان المنشرة لديهم بعدما أصبحت الشبكة العنكبوتية وتكنولوجيات الاتصال الحديثة كالهواتف الذكية تشكل البيئة الثقافية التي ينمو ويتفاعل الشباب داخلها حيث تشير الدراسات إلى كثافة استخدام الشباب لهذا النوع من وسائل الاتصال والإعلام في الحياة اليومية وقد أخذت أهمية بالغة في حياتهم الاجتماعية في إطار ما أصبح يعرف بالمجتمعات الافتراضية، كما اكتسحت مختلف مجالات النشاط البشري بصفة عامة من تعلم وترفيه وتسوق ومشاركة سياسية وتفاعل اجتماعي...
وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن وجود اتجاهات إيجابية للشباب عن الإنترنت يفسر جزئيا مدى انخراطهم وانغماسهم في المجتمعات الافتراضية والعوالم الرقمية وإدمانهم للإنترنت. الذي يتمظهر في عدة أشكال وأنماط لدى الجنسين، ويمكنهم من الإفلات من سلطة المجتمع القهرية واكراهاته.
Abstract: 
This research paper aims to investigate the phenomenon of internet addiction among young people by understanding their attitudes towards this medium and the various forms of addiction prevalent among them. With the internet and modern communication technologies like smartphones becoming the cultural environment in which young people grow and interact, studies have shown a high prevalence of internet use in their daily lives. It has gained significant importance in their social lives within what is now known as virtual communities. It has also permeated various aspects of human activity, including learning, entertainment, shopping, political engagement, and social interaction. The study has found that the presence of positive attitudes towards the internet partially explains young people's engagement and immersion in virtual communities and digital worlds, leading to internet addiction. This addiction manifests in various forms and patterns among both genders, allowing them to escape from the constraints and pressures of the physical world.
