Abstract: Childhood gained an imoprtant place in the Islamic Maghreb society during the medieval period and this led all the members of the society to work together in order to create a good upbringing which will have positive impact on both society and family and the good upbringing starts from the first day; the family selected good names of its children and did some habits to protect them and save their health , some of them were legal others were contrary to the Shariah. The family also worked hard to make their children pursue the good way .There were who looked for knowledge and obliged the children to take this path, and there were who considered that children especially males can represent new means of production that can support the home's budget, so they pushed their children to work. Despite the family , the school and the community working hard and searching for a way of good and positive growth for children, many of them were opposed by many compulsions resulted in depriving them of some innate things such as: play and poverty with its consequences as well as Family problems and their repercussions on children.
