 Shaybānīs Kitāb al-Kesb, which is the source of all the books of kesb written after him, because it is the first work written in the field. There were those who used it as a source in their works as well as those who commented on it. This study, which forms the foundations of Islamic economics, mainly deals with the subject of zuhd and earnings. Shaybānī and his commentator Sarakhsī used a large number of hadiths while dealing with the subjects in Kesb. it has been seen that they generally follow the method of explaining verses, hadiths and their own views with hadith. They explained the purpose and unknown words in order to avoid misunderstanding the hadith they discussed. Since the hadiths they quoted have digested the chain of isnads, the hadiths they benefited from cannot be analyzed in terms of isnad and it cannot be determined from which source they were taken. However, it is possible to find the close meanings of most of the hadiths he cited in the main hadith sources. This article, which deals with the methods of using Hadith by Shaybānī and Sarakhsī in Kitāb al-Kesb, the reason for writing, its importance, its content, the method of using and interpreting hadith in Kesb, the evaluation of hadiths used in Kesb in terms of saned and authenticity, and shaped around subheadings.

 Kendisinden sonra yazılan bütün Kesb kitaplarına kaynaklık eden Şeybânînin Kitâbül-Kesbi, alanda yazılmış olan ilk eser olması hasebiyle önemlidir. Onu şerh edenler olduğu gibi eserlerinde kaynak olarak kullananlar da olmuştur. İslâm iktisadının temellerini oluşturan bu çalışma, ağırlıklı olarak zühd ve kazanç konusunu ele almıştır. Şeybânî ve şârihi Serahsî, Kesbte konuları işlerken çok sayıda hadis kullanmışlardır. Onların genel olarak âyetleri, hadisleri ve kendi görüşlerini hadisle açıklama yöntemini takip ettikleri görülmüştür. Ele aldıkları hadisin yanlış anlaşılmasının önüne geçmek için makâsıdını ve garib kelimelerini de açıklamışlardır. Aktarmış oldukları hadislerin sened zincirini hazfetmeleri, faydalandıkları hadislerin isnad açısından tahlil edilememesine yol açmıştır. Bununla birlikte aktarmış oldukları hadislerin çoğunun yakın anlamlısını temel hadis kaynaklarında bulmak mümkündür. Şeybânî ve Serahsînin Kitâbül-Kesbte hadis kullanma yöntemlerinin ele alındığı bu makale Kesbin yazılma nedeni, önemi, muhtevası, Kesbte hadis kullanma ve yorumlama metodu, Kesbte kullanılan hadislerin sened ve sıhhat bakımından değerlendirilmesi başlıkları ve alt başlıkları etrafında şekillenmiştir.
