 When observing the difficulties experienced by children, especially the poor readers, during the reading process, it has been seen that one of the fundamental problems is establishing the relationships of inference at different levels. Turkish language teachers play a primary role in developing the solution-focused for these difficulties. However, teachers need to be supported theoretically and academically. The aim of this study is to develop a scale of inference skills that Turkish language teachers can use and take as examples. The study involved 100 children aged 10-13, and a draft scale consisting of open-ended questions covering different levels of inference was developed. The scale has an average item difficulty value of 0.46, indicating a moderate difficulty level. The average item discrimination value is 0.53, indicating that the scale consists of questions with high discrimination. The Cronbachs alpha reliability coefficient value is 0.795. Consequently, a scale has been developed that is suitable for secondary school level, text-based, covers different levels of inference, consists of open-ended questions, and includes a rubric. The sub-sections of this scale can be used coupled or individually.

 Çocukların, özellikle zayıf okurların, okuma sürecinde yaşadığı güçlükler araştırıldığında, temel sorunlardan birinin farklı düzeylerdeki çıkarım ilişkilerinin kurulamaması olduğu gözlenmiştir. Bunlara hedef odaklı çözümler geliştirme sürecinde Türkçe öğretmenleri, birincil rol üstlenir. Ancak öğretmenlerin kuramsal ve akademik açıdan desteklenmesi gerekir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkçe öğretmenlerinin kullanabileceği ve örnek alabileceği bir çıkarım becerisi ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. 10-13 yaş aralığındaki 100 öğrenci ile çalışılmış; farklı çıkarım düzeylerini kapsayacak biçimde açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan iki bölümlü çıkarım becerisi ölçme aracı oluşturulmuştur. Ortalama madde güçlük indeksi değeri 0,46 olan ölçme aracı, orta güçlüktedir. Ortalama madde ayırt ediciliğini gösteren değer, 0,53tür; ölçme aracı yüksek ayırt ediciliğe sahip sorulardan oluşmaktadır. Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı ise 0,795tir. Sonuç olarak ortaokul düzeyine uygun, metin temelli, farklı çıkarım düzeylerini kapsayacak biçimde, açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan ve dereceli puanlama anahtarları bulunan bir ölçme aracı geliştirilmiştir. Bu ölçme aracının alt bölümleri, birlikte ya da ayrı ayrı kullanılabilir.
