Abstract:

Seyf-i Fergânî was born in Fergâna in the second quarter of the 13th century. After staying in Tabriz for a while, he came to Anatolia and resided in Aksaray. He was a sufi poet who lived in this city until the end of his life. He had a divan consisting of 10,277 couplets composed of an ode, stanza, gazelle, and rubai verse type. In this study, apart from 23 rubaies in Seyf-i Fergânî’s Diwan, the existing verses were measured and bahrs and meters were found. Bahrs were classified according to their highest usage rates, and the percentage of usage in the poems in the divan was calculated by mentioning the number of meters in each bahr.
