Abstract:

One of the orijinal pattern who take the lead with their vivid and rich examples of fixings about human is Mawlānā in the Islamic thought and civilization. Since human is created in divine form, and then Mawlānā regards human-being in an optimistic view, dealt with his different aspects, he describes man in human’s complex structure properly, and he reflects man’s various mental powers one by one without cutting his wholeness into parts. He considers the Prophet Adam both as "a universal [or perfect] man" and "a prophet", and as "a self" who possesses tendency falling into error. Through the insight of Mawlānā, first of three most im-portant features of Adam is creation of him in divine form connected in respect of the fact that he is "the great universe" (‘ālam al-kubrā). The other two features of him are his situation amongst all kinds of substantial or spiritual beings, knowledg-es and values, and his becoming unique being, which possesses the potentiality of the divine caliphate (hilāfah) in a value system. It’s limitedly touched on the common points of his thought with the various Islamic views in this sense, especially with the Divine Love (‘Ashq) School of Iran and with Kubrawī culture and lastly with exclusively the view of Ibn Arabī. His real contribution on this subject is his certain attainment to an original synthesis, which enlightens us also in our time, feeding from all these three cultural resources.

Âdem’in(as) en önemli üç niteliğinden ilki Hakk’ın sûretinde yaratılmış en büyük âlem (âlem-i kübrâ) olmasıdır.
