Abstract:

 

The research was carried out in order to determine the effect of the program on the
self-regulation social skills and problem behavior skills of children by applying the social
values education program to preschool children. In the study, a full application design
without a pretest-posttest control group was used. The research consists of 13 children
aged 54-60 months, 54% of whom are boys and 46% are girls, selected by the purposeful
sampling method, who are studying in Ankara. In the study, “Self-Regulation Scale”,
“Social Skills Scale” and “Problem Behavior Scale” were used to measure the intended
skills. Social Values Education Program which created by Sapsaglam (2015) was applied
3 days in 12 weeks and the program includes the values of “Helpfulness, Honesty, Love,
Respect, Cooperation, Self-Control, Responsibility, Kindness, Tolerance, Friendship”.
Before the program, pre-test measurements were used with tools, post-test measurements
and permanence measurements were used after the program applied. The obtained scientific
data was analyzed by SPSS 22 program. As a result of the research, it was seen that
the Social Values Education Program made a positive and significant difference in children’s
self-regulation and social skills. In addition, it is seen that the Social Values Education
Program significantly reduced the problem behaviors seen in children and according
to the persistence test findings, the effect of the program on self-regulation, social skills
and problem behaviors continues in the later period.

 

Araştırma okul öncesi dönemdeki çocuklara sosyal değerler eğitim programı uygulanarak,
programın çocukların öz düzenleme sosyal beceri ve problem davranış becerileri
üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada öntestsontest
kontrol grupsuz yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma; Ankara ilindeki
Gazi Uygulama Anaokulu’nda öğrenim görmekte olan amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile
seçilen % 54’ü erkek %46’sı kız 54-60 aylık 13 çocuktan oluşmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmada
amaçlanan becerileri ölçmek amacıyla “Öz Düzenleme Ölçeği”; “Sosyal Beceri
Ölçeği” ve “Problem Davranış Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Çocuklara Sapsağlam (2015) tarafından
oluşturulan ve içeriğinde “Yardımseverlik, Dürüstlük, Sevgi, Saygı, İşbirliği,
Kendini Kontrol Etme, Sorumluluk, Nezaket, Hoşgörülü Olma, Arkadaşlık” değerlerine
yer verilen Sosyal Değerler Eğitim Programı 12 hafta süresince haftada 3 gün uygulanmıştır. Programı uygulamaya başlamadan önce araştırmada kullanılan ölçme araçları ile
ön test uygulamaları, program tamamlandıktan sonra son test uygulamaları ve kalıcılık
test uygulamaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler elektronik ortamda SPSS 22
programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda Sosyal Değerler Eğitim
Programı’nın çocukların öz düzenleme ve sosyal becerilerinde pozitif yönde anlamlı
farklılık sağladığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca Sosyal Değerler Eğitim Programı’nın çocuklarda
görülen problem davranışlarını anlamlı düzeyde azalttığı ve kalıcılık testi bulgularına
göre programın öz düzenleme, sosyal beceri ve problem davranışlar üzerindeki etkisinin
daha sonraki süreçte de devam ettiği görülmektedir.
