The Qur'an aimed to educate people psychologically, sociologically and morally. The general behaviors expected of people are to be just, generous, forgiving, helpful, conscientious and altruistic. In our research, the place of the concept of “empathy”, which we think is the basis of these moral values, in the Qur'an and Sunnah has been examined. In our study, by adopting an interdisciplinary approach, an original research has been made by considering the empathetic expressions in the verses of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet with the perspective of the psychology of religion. In this context, empathic expressions in the Quran and Sunnah have been tried to be expressed, explained and interpreted with psychological concepts. In the last century, due to the influence of modernity and technological developments, the observance of the moral values established by the Qur'an has gradually decreased, in addition to this, individuality, selfishness (egoism) has begun to spread in all areas. In solving these psychological and social problems in society, it should not be forgotten how important it is to have an empathic approach to people's attitudes and behaviors, and the contribution of reinforcing this understanding with religious beliefs in terms of socio-cultural aspects. For this reason, examining and revealing the empathic approaches in the Quran and Sunnah will create awareness in society on this issue. In our research, documentation or literature scanning method has been used as a method of collecting information. As a result, this study revealed that empathic approach has positive effects both in social relationships and in the adoption of moral values and attitudes, converting them into behavior.

 

Kur’an-ı Kerim, insanları psikolojik, sosyolojik ve ahlaki olarak eğitmeyi amaçlamıştır. İnsanlardan beklenen genel davranışlar adaletli, cömert, bağışlayıcı, yardımsever, vicdanlı ve diğerkâm olmalarıdır. Araştırmamızda, bu ahlaki değerlerin temelini oluşturduğunu düşündüğümüz “empati” kavramının Kur’an ve Sünnetteki yeri incelenmiştir. Çalışmamızda, disiplinler arası bir yaklaşım benimsenerek, Kur’an-ı Kerim’deki ayetlerde ve Hz. Peygamber’in sünnetinde geçen empatik ifadelerin, din psikolojisi bakış açısı ile ele alınarak değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Kur’an ve Sünnette geçen empatik ifadeler psikolojik kavramlarla ifade edilmeye, açıklanmaya ve yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Son yüzyılda, modernitenin ve teknolojik gelişmelerin de etkisiyle, Kur’an-ı Kerim’in ortaya koyduğu ahlaki değerlere riayet giderek azalmış, bununla birlikte bireysellik, bencillik (egoizm) her alanda yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır. Toplumda gerçekleşen bu psikolojik ve sosyal problemlerin çözümünde, insanların tutum ve davranışlarına empatik yaklaşımın hâkim olmasının ne kadar önemli olduğunu, bu anlayışın dini inançlarla da pekiştirilmesinin sosyo-kültürel açıdan sağlayacağı katkıyı da unutmamak gerekir. Bu sebeple Kur’an ve Sünnette geçen empatik yaklaşımların incelenmesi, ortaya konması, bu konuda toplumda bir farkındalık oluşturacaktır. Araştırmamızda, bilgi toplama yöntemi olarak dokümantasyon veya literatür tarama metodu kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak bu çalışma, empatik yaklaşımın gerek sosyal ilişkilerde gerekse kişinin ahlaki değer ve tutumları benimsenmesi ve davranışa dönüştürmesinde olumlu etkilere sahip olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.
