Abstract:

The research title "Algerian Women: Testimonies of Struggle and Resilience during the Colonial Era (1830–1962)" is rich and significant, as it highlights the role of Algerian women during a long and painful colonial period that spanned from 1830, the beginning of the French occupation of Algeria, until 1962, the year of Algeria's independence. This title does not merely focus on the political and military struggle but extends to the social, cultural, and economic challenges faced by Algerian women, which were an integral part of the broader national struggle.
