Abstract:

In this article, we have studied the so-called semantic repetition forms in the novel "Segou: La Terre En Miettes" by Maryse Conde. In this study, we addressed the totality of the iterative semantic categories in the narrative text, which allowed a comprehensive reading of the writer's narrative language as a model for her ideological and semantic notions. In the first part of the research, we dealt with the semantic repetition of men's and women's characters, which seemed to be a reflection of the tearing and disruption of the characters, The third and final part of the research was the subject of the so-called poetic semantic repetition or what we called "semantic poetic flashes", which sounded like a poetic break from the moments of suffering for the characters within the novel. The connected series of semantic networks allowed us to organize the semantic, lexical and figurative visualization of the novel. In the end, we say that this study is a serious attempt to reread the novel, which has historical, spatial and psychological dimensions of the places and people inside it.
