Abstract:

Through this paper, we aim to unveil the originality of the sociological approach to the subject of spatial mobility, starting by revealing the features and forms of these mobilities within the urban space. Our objective is to advocate for an approach capable of addressing the urban phenomenon based on a perspective that considers the spatial mobilities that continuously sweep the urban space. From this standpoint, and in recognition of this significance, our purpose in this article is to examine the concept of mobility as a sociological concept. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose ways to read the urban phenomenon through the movement of individuals, goods, and ideas, in addition to revealing some of the reflections of these movements on the city's structure and functions, and how the city, in turn, shapes the patterns of this mobility and influences its dynamics and rhythms.
