Abstract:

Abstract:
The relationship between translation and identity intersects with the concept of acculturation, which involves interaction between peoples and cultures. In the Arab world, Rifa’a Rafi’ al-Tahtawi (1801–1873) is often credited with establishing translation as a social institution aimed at fostering a renaissance in science and industry. The issue of identity in literature is also linked to him through his book "Takhlis al-Ibriz fi Talkhis Baris", published in 1831.
Thus, the question of translation and identity emerges to explore their interplay, as translation, through its semantic content, reveals civilizational dialogue across various fields. Furthermore, language, with its intellectual weight, reflects the multiplicity of cultural and linguistic identities. Accordingly, this study seeks to develop a forward-looking vision of this relationship by examining the current state of translation in the Arab world and reflecting on the future of linguistic identity in the context of acculturation and globalization.

Key words: Translation, Identity, Acculturation, Forward-looking Vision; Globalization, Cultural exchange.
