 هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل محتوى كتب العلوم للمرحلة الأساسية في ضوء مبادئ النظرية البنائية، وإتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، ومن أجل تحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم إعداد أداة تحليل محتوى وفق مبادئ النظرية البنائية تكونت من (25) فقرة موزعة على (5) أبعاد، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من كتب العلوم للصفين السابع والثامن الأساسيين للعام الدراسي 2020/2019، وتم اختيارها بالطريقة القصدية، وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن النسب المئوية لمبادئ النظرية البنائية كالآتي: النسبة المئوية لمبدأ المعرفة السابقة للصفين السابع والثامن (%25) و(%27) على التوالي، ولمبدأ بناء المعرفة (%16) و(%16)، ولمبدأ التغيير في البنية المعرفية (%20) و(%20)، ولمبدأ مواجهة الموقف (%21) و(%18)، وأخيراً لمبدأ التفاوض الاجتماعي (%18) و(%19)، وأوصت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات، أبرزها: ضرورة تدعيم الكتاب المدرسي بوسائل تكنولوجية وبرامج تعليمية الإلكترونية، وإثرائه بالأنشطة ذات الطابع الميداني

 This study aimed to analyze the content of science textbooks for the basic stage in view of the principles of constructivism theory, and the study followed the descriptive analytical approach, and in order to achieve the study purpose a content analysis tool was prepared according to principles of constructivism theory consisting of (25) paragraphs distributed into (5) dimensions, and the study sample consist of seventh and eighth grades science textbooks for the academic year 2019-2020 chosen by purposive method, The study unveiled that the percentage of the principles of the constructivism Theory are as follows: Prior knowledge principle for seventh, eighth grade respectively (25%) and (27%), Knowledge Building (16%) and (16%), Change in knowledge Structure (20%) and (20%), Confronting Situation (21%) and (18%), And finally for Social Negotiation (18%) and (19%), The study recommended that textbooks should be supported with technology and electronic programs, and provided with field activities.
