Abstract:

DC voltage is preferred in urban rail systems due to EN standards and occupational safety restrictions. Since the voltage obtained from the urban energy network has a sinusoidal waveform, the DC voltage is also obtained by the rectifier system in the electrification system. Since the voltage coming from the power line is at medium voltage level, the transformer is transformed to the level required by the rectifier system with the help of transformers installed in the substation substations. With the help of the DC voltage obtained from the rectifier system, the vehicles are supplied with the necessary energy transmission to the catenary line. In this study, the effect of rectifier parameters used in a DC feed rail system on traction power system was investigated and the system was analyzed. For the study, a rail system line with a length of 12 km and consisting of 10 stations was used. By comparing the results obtained, suggestions for optimal design principles for rectifier system were made.
