 لقد شكلت الأزمة الأوكرانية الأخيرة نهاية سنة 2013 و مطلع السنة 2014 محور التنافس الإستراتيجي الدولي على مناطق النفوذ الحيوي خاصة بين قطبي الحرب الباردة، حيث تجسد شبه جزيرة القرم مسرح التجاذبات الحاصلة بين مختلف القوى الفاعلة في النظام الدولي )الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية و روسيا و الإتحاد الأوروبي(، إذ يرى الغرب بأن أوكرانيا تشكل ممرا حيويا للدول الأوروبية، في حين ترى روسيا في ضمها لشبه جزيرة القرم إسترجاعا لحقها التاريخي.
تهذف الدراسة إلى تحليل الإستراتيجية الروسية بأوراسيا عقب أزمة شبه جزيرة القرم، و كيف حاولت روسيا جاهدة كسب رهان التنافس الدولي من خلال توجهاتها الجيوستراتيجية في بعدها الطاقوي (خاصة توظيف متغير الغاز الطبيعي) في التموقع و السيطرة على المحاور الجيوبولتكية، و محاولة روسيا الحد من تمدد حلف الشمال الأطلسي بحدودها شرقا. و يظهر ذلك جليا في خياراتها الجيوستراتيجية  بمجالها الحيوي الأوراسي، كسيطرتها لشبه جزيرة القرم عام 2014 و ذلك لعرقلة أوكرانيا من الإلتحاق بالركب الأوروبي، الذي كان سيهدد بمصالحها في المنطقة الحيوية الأوراسية. 

The last Crimean crisis has been the axis of the international strategic competition over the areas of vital influence, particularly between the two poles of the Cold War. The Crimean peninsula is the scene of the interactions between the various powers of the international system (the United States, Russia and the European Union). The west sees Ukraine as a vital passage for European countries, while Russia considers the Crimean annexation as a historic right.
The study aims to analyse the Russian strategy in Eurasia due to the crisis in the Crimea, and how Russia tries to win the challenge of international competition through its geostrategical orientations in its energetical dimension (especially employing the natural gas variable) in the location and control of the geopolitical axes. The North Atlantic with its eastern border and this is evident in its geostrategic options in its Eurasian biosphere, including its annexation of the Crimea in 2014 to stop the process of the integration of Ukraine to the European Union, which would not have an effect on its interests in the Eurasian vital region.
