Abstract:

This paper aims to outline a sociological framework by examining the historical, occupational, political and stigmatization issues related to RomaGypsies. Considering the growing attention to RomaGypsies in recent years, it is planned to discuss a wide range of literature in a broader framework, beyond specific issues such as education, housing and health. This attempt is aimed to guide researchers who will conduct studies in the field and contribute to the field. The paper focuses on five main topics: the historical framework for the construction of the negative stereotype, the issue of naming, occupations, civilpolitical organizational processes, and stigmatization. Consequently, the paper provides a historical, cultural, political and social perspective on contemporary issues concerning RomaGypsies.
