Abstract:

The invest and use of internet in a certain society is the most prominent indicator of the readiness of this society to use modern instructional technology in fulfilling its instructional social, and economic needs. Based on this, university education found itself facing a big challenge that requires quick adaptation with issues of technology, and its management, proper use and its subduality for service of society. This is why, in the researcher opinion, Arab university education failed and could not use and invest technological revolution achievements especially to absorb numbers of secondary school graduates students in university education: in addition to its inability to get information and knowledge sources, how to use it, and react positively with it, so use of internet and multi-media is limited. Hence a big divide was created between Arab university education on one side and university education in advanced countries on the other one – between those who do not possess issues of digital technology and do not use it and those who possess and use them, which we may refer to as (Digital divide) in university education. In order to desire the growing numbers to Arab university education and to reduce this digital divide, this study was carried out and it aims are the following: * Definition of electronic instruction technology. * Knowing the most important factors that necessitate use of electronic instruction in Arab University education. * Knowing the most important features of digital divide in Arab University Education. * Identifying some of the factors that helped in the expansion of the digital divide in Arab University Education. * Knowing the readiness of Arab Universities to use the electronic instructional. * Knowing the most prominent challenges that are facing Arab University Education in the adoption and utilization of electronic instructional. * The study was concluded by some recommendations which the researcher considers it important to tackle the digital divide and the use of electronic instructional to absorb numbers of students in secondary schools who want to desire the university education, so that this type of instruction finds its place in Arab University literature.\.
