Abstract:

In this study, we discuss how Sheshenq I, one of the leaders of the ancient Libyans, was able to ascend the Egyptian throne without much war, while it is mentioned in the ancient Egyptian antiquities that the Egyptian pharaohs fought several wars against his ancestors, and tried to prevent them from entering Egypt several times, during successive periods, especially in the era of the modern state.
Despite the victories of Seti the first, Mrin In Btah and Ramses the third, during the campaign they led by the ancient Libyans, sometimes as allies with some peoples of the sea, but these pharaohs fail to stop, definitively, the Libyan invasion on Egypt an fail to put an end of their assaults, Libyan multiplies assaults over and over, as the opportunity presented to them. The Egyptian references show that these attempts continued all over the Pharaoh era, from which we deduce that Egyptian Pharaohs fails in the persuasion policy against Libyan from one hand, proof how Libyan were strong from the other hand, they are frustrated from attempting over and over but the face bravely the Egyptian forces, despite they fails many times. It’s worth to mention that the Egyptian sources only recorded the events immortalizing the victories of the pharaohs, sometimes these inscriptions have nothing to do with reality.
