Abstract:

All the battles and operations that took place on the Çanakkale front were recorded in 1919 through British point of view, by on-site examinations for future use. The Dardanel Commission, which was tasked with this duty, compiled a report of approximately six hundred pages, presenting all the military and technical details, advantages and disadvantages of the army and air force, starting with the bombardments in February 1914, to withdrawals in December 1915 and January 1916, and the subsequent process of closing the entrance to the Strait by mining. In this paper, the sections related to air operations were brought together and the air operations on the Çanakkale Front were presented by feeding them with other sources in the literature.
