Abstract:

Abstract: The paper aims to reveal certain facets of the personal life of king Juba II. Which are still the subject of conflicting opinions. We will attempt to demonstrate several aspects of his personality, as he is considered one of the most prominent scholars of his times, and it excludes talking about his ascension to the throne.
A number of findings have been drawn: first, the ancient sources did not motioned the date of birth and death of king Juba II. The king’s death was determined by the modern historians through the context of historical events, and different dates are discussed in modern studies about his birth. Juba’s youth and education remain the most mysterious aspects of his life, hypotheses have been proposed to fill this historical gap. His lineage is confirmed by ancient texts and material sources. The study, also, reveal his relation with the roman court.
