Abstract:

Migration is a phenomenon that takes place in our lives all the time. In every period of world history, whether compulsory or voluntary, people are constantly on the move. If we look at the prominent causes of migration movements, natural disasters, war, famine, political, economic, etc. can be counted as. The phenomenon of migration, which causes social changes, emerges as a subject that should be examined by social sciences. The human being, who has improved his ability to walk, has expanded the field of transportation. There are multiple different reasons behind human migration. One of the most important reasons is that the harmony between bipedalism upright walking and the circulatory system has led to a significant increase in brain volume. Thus, people have wondered, expanded their field of action and experienced cultural, social and economic changes. Today, migration with security concerns is the type of migration encountered. The effect size of individual or small-scale migrations in the long term and large mass migrations that occur in a short time creates quite different results. The deaths that occurred during the great mass migrations and the identification of the persons are also an important issue. Identification of individuals is legally required. Forensic Anthropological methods and techniques have an important role in the identification of skeletonized finds that have passed for a long time. One of the main criteria that is taken into account when creating the biological profiles of individuals is biological origin. In this study, the use of biological origin estimation, which is one of the fields of study of Forensic Anthropology, in the identification of individuals who lost their lives on migration routes will be emphasized.

Göç, hayatımızda her zaman yer alan bir olgudur. Dünya tarihinin her döneminde ister zorunlu ister gönüllü olsun insanlar sürekli hareket halindedir. Bireylerin kimliklendirilmesi hukuken zorunludur. Üzerinden uzun zaman geçmiş, iskeletleşmiş buluntuların kimliklendirilmesinde Adli Antropolojik yöntem ve tekniklerin önemli rolü vardır. Bireylerin biyolojik profilleri oluşturulurken bakılan temel kriterlerden biri biyolojik kökendir. Bu çalışmada, Adli Antropolojinin çalışma alanlarından biri olan biyolojik köken tahmininin, göç yollarında hayatını kaybeden bireylerin kimliklendirilmesinde kullanımı vurgulanacaktır.
