Abstract:

Abstract:
Starting from the second century AD, written texts began to appear in the region of the Tripolitanian cities in western Libya, which is a Punic language written in Latin letters, which is historically known as the Latin neo-Phoenician language, as evidence of the continuation of dealing with the Phoenician language in this region without being exposed to extinction and fading during that period. Many researchers think.
This research aims to study different models of those hybrid and mixed texts that combined the Punic language and the Latin letter in several locations in the valleys below the Libyan desert, or what is known as the Tripolitan borders, because of its importance in filling some of the deficiencies and shortcomings that marred this subject. Through the problem of how that writing appeared in terms of the pattern and method of using its letters and the meanings of the words and names that came with it, in addition to the attempts of researchers to translate it, and the historical importance that resulted from that by adding historical information that was not known before, as well as denying or proving information A previous historical study related to the political, economic and cultural aspects in the territory of the Tripoli cities This is based on the historical narrative as well as the analytical approach whenever possible, while following the comparative approach at times, while recommending the continuation of historical and archaeological studies on this subject.
