Abstract:

At the beginning of the 19th century, the phenomenon of the publication of manuscript texts by scholars in this field, known to orientalists because of their possession of these texts, was widespread. The belief of many Muslim scholars was that the science of manuscripts was not formed until the 19th century. Founded by the orientalist German Bergstrasher and other orientalists, although there are many rules developed by scholars of Islam, especially modern scholars, which relate to the control and repair of texts such as counter-copying and tuning novels, and repair error, and treatment of desertification and distortion, and other pests that affect He saw the text of the manuscript, and these controls and jurisprudence is still overlooked by a small number of researchers who are interested in this field, so the efforts of scientists remained obscure unknown, and it was necessary to these scientists to highlight their efforts in this area and preceded them, taking a sample is in the writings The modern world and historian Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti.
