 يتناول هذا المقال طقوس الموت باعتبارها طقوس عبور، فهي مرحلة انتقالية من عالم الأحياء إلى عالم الأموات، تتسم بمجموعة من الممارسات والدلالات، نتطرق إلى هذه الطقوس من خلال الواقع الاجتماعي، والتفاعل مع الموت كحدث حتمي في المجتمع الجزائري، وأيضا البحث في آثار جائحة (كورونا) على طقوس الموت. اعتمدت الدراسة هذه على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي وتقنية الملاحظة المباشرة لأهم الطقوس والممارسات والأشكال التعبيرية المتعلقة بحدث الموت في المجتمع الجزائري. وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها: أن طقوس الموت في مجتمعنا تخضع للأزمنة الثلاثة: للفعل الطقسي (الفصل، الهامش، والإدماج) كما رسمها (فان جنيب). وقد تقلصت هذه الطقوس بفعل جائحة (كورونا) التي دفعت المجتمع لاعتماد التفاعل الافتراضي عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي خاصة.
                  This article deals with the rites of death as a rite of passage, as a transitional stage from the world of the living into the world of the dead, characterized by multiple practices and connotations. We study the rituals of death in social reality and through interaction with death in Algerian society and also research the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on death rites. The study relied on the descriptive approach and the technique of direct observation of the most important rituals, practices, and expressive forms related to the event of death in Algerian society. We reached a set of results, including the death ritual in our society, which is subject to the three times of the ritual act: separation, margin, and integration, as mentioned by Van Gennep. These rituals are diminished due to the COVID-19 pandemic and society’s reliance on virtual interaction through social media sites in particular.
