Abstract:

Depriving an orphan child in early childhood from the natural family atmosphere, and his presence in an Shelter institutions, far from contact with the external community, causes the lack of social skills of the orphan child, and this appears during his interaction with his peers within the institution, where he acts selfishly and aggressively with his peers, and does not The favorite activities of the orphan child, such as Library activities, are exploited in developing his social skills, which help him to interact positively with his peers, and the most appropriate activities to develop those social skills for the orphan child are not chosen, so the current research aims to reveal the effectiveness of office activities (educational games / Theatrical drama) in the development of some social skills (empathy - cooperation - social communication) with peers among the orphan child from 5-6 years old. The research sample consisted of 30 boys and girls from 5-6 years old, from the children placed in the “Al Amal Shelter for Orphan Children” in Kafrelsheikh. They were divided into two experimental groups, and the number of children in each group was 15 children and a girl. The observation card of the behavior of orphan children indicating the social skills of the subject of the research was applied to the nursery supervisor (the accommodation), prepared by the researcher, and it was prepared and applied educational games activities to the experimental group (1), and dramatic drama activities to the experimental group (2), and the data were analyzed Using the t-Test., and the results showed the improvement in the performance of the two groups of children in the post application of the observation card, the search tool, which expresses the observations of the nursery supervisor and the accommodation supervisor, and the results indicated the superiority of the experimental group (2) over the experimental group (1) in the two axes of the card (cooperation, and communication with peers) The two groups were equal in the sympathy axis, from the observation card axes, in the post application, and it was found that there is a positive correlation between the observations of the nursery supervisor and the observations of the accommodation supervisor for the two experimental groups.
