Abstract:

The vehicles which are withdrawn from the traffic because of consumption too much fuel and
giving damage to the environment are given up to decay in the junkyards, whereas moving
parts of many of them are agreeable. The aim of this study was to convert the light vehicle with
an internal combustion engine sent to the junk to the electric car. The parts removed from the
internal combustion engine powered vehicle were changed with the parts which required in
an electric car. Thus, the mechanical and electronic conversions were completed. The electric
car weight decreased almost 300 kilograms. In addition, the vehicle could complete the range
of 45.6 kilometer with a speed of 31 km/h and about a power consumption of 4 kWh. The old
vehicles that sent to the junkyards could save again with this pilot study. Hence, environment
friendly and economic transportation could be possible.

Elde edilen elektrikli aracın ağırlığında 300 kg’a yakın azalma meydana
gelmiştir. Ayrıca araç, 31 km/h sabit hızla 45,6 km menzili yaklaşık 4 kWh’lik enerji tüketimi
ile tamamlayabilmiştir. Bu örnek çalışmayla, hurdaya çekilen eski araçlar tekrar sisteme kazandırılarak, çevre dostu ve ekonomik ulaşım mümkün olacaktır. .
