Abstract:

This study aims at analyzing a classical poetic text by using the pragmatic approach and its manifestations. It avails of these manifestations and crystallizes them within the approach. This is undoubtedly helps to examine this poetic aspect by using the methods of deconstruction.
Abdu Yaghuth resorted to writing his poetic text as an explicit reaction that concealed semantically the hidden meanings and unspoken intentions. This happened after concluding that he was in such an unfortunate and unviable position. This also referred to use the pragmatic approach to study and deconstruct these unspoken poetic contexts according to the mechanisms and procedures of the approach.
In general, the poem contains meanings and evidence in various forms and in different styles, which hide beneath implications that deserve to be studied and examined, particularly if their presence is deliberate to shift the discourse from the communicative position to the pragmatic one, which is the primary goal of our study.
The pragmatic approach aims not only at eliciting the intentions of the speakers and what the hidden meanings are concealed in their words, but also taking care of the context that embraces the lexicon or the expression to help reach the ultimate significance and purposes as well.
The study is then rounded off with important findings: producing the cognitive and methodological outcome that the pragmatic reading led to in such poetic texts.
