Edwardian critique of the world and the authority of class
reading in the critique of colonialism
The vision of the research is to examine the limits of the critique of colonialism in the writings of Palestinian intellectual Edward Said as a cultural model that imitates the identity of the Eastern and Arab self, thus calling for the representation of act of cultural resistance and revolution against the discourses of Western imperialism. To establish this, he developed several critical concepts and procedures to characterize his approach in opposition to colonial authority. One of the most important is perhaps the criticism of the world and the authority of class reading and their effective role in the deconstruction and fragmentation of the discourse of the other and in the response to it according to discourses oriental which reflect the intellectual's awareness of the need to represent his identity and culture, so that Edwardian criticism constitutes a striking model in the critical arena which obliged us to read explanatory description and analysis to discover his critical project in criticism of colonialism.
