Abstract:

In recent years, sustainability has become one of the most important issues for the world. In order for enterprises to carry out sustainability activities, it is important for them to increase the green capabilities of their employees with their knowledge, skills and competencies and to develop green attitudes and behaviors that are important for their environmental performance. These green capabilities come together to form the green competencies of employees, and enterprises. By measuring their green competencies, enterprises can determine the understandingknowledge, skills and abilities they have andor develop for the equal and efficient distribution of resources as well as supporting environmental sustainability. The aim of this study is to adapt the Green Competencies Scale developed by Cabral and Dhar 2019 to Turkish. The participants of the study consist of 279 people. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was conducted for the construct validity of the scale. As a result of the analysis, it was decided to exclude the Green Attitude factor in the original scale. After the good fit of the five-factor model was obtained, when the AVE and McDonald ω values calculated for each factor were examined, it was found that more than 50 of the variance could be explained in all factors. Internal consistency coefficients are above 70 in all factors.
