 The purpose of this research is to learn the opinions and experiences of psychological counselors regarding the consultation needs of gifted students, their sources, and the quality of the consultation services they receive. The study, in which 12 psychological counselors participated in Gaziantep, was conducted with a phenomenological design. Criterion sampling was used by determining the criteria of having worked in the profession for at least 10 years and having provided psychological services to gifted children. Data were collected with a personal information form and semi-structured interview form. The data were subjected to content analysis. Consultation needs; personal social guidance, consultation with educators, consultation on psychiatric and clinical issues, special education needs. Official institutions, colleagues, personal development and web-supported applications are used as consultation sources. Psychological counselors evaluated the services they received as positive contributions and insufficient solutions to consultation needs. Participants offered suggestions for sustainable consultation resources. The findings were discussed with studies in literature. Recommendations for both researchers and practitioners are given.

 Bu araştırmanın amacı, psikolojik danışmanların üstün yetenekli öğrencilere yönelik konsültasyon ihtiyaçlarını, kaynaklarını ve aldıkları konsültasyon hizmetlerinin niteliğiyle ilgili görüş ve deneyimlerini öğrenmektir. Gaziantep ilinde 12 psikolojik danışmanın katıldığı çalışma fenomenolojik desende yürütülmüştür. Meslekte en az 10 yıl görev yapma, üstün yetenekli çocuklara psikolojik hizmet vermiş olma kriterleri belirlenerek, ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Veriler kişisel bilgi formu ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formuyla toplanmıştır. Veriler içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Konsültasyon ihtiyaçları; kişisel sosyal rehberlik, eğitimcilere ve yönelik konsültasyon, psikiyatrik ve klinik konularda konsültasyon, özel eğitim ihtiyacı şeklindedir. Resmî kurumlar, meslektaşlar, kişisel gelişim ve web destekli uygulamalar konsültasyon kaynakları olarak kullanılmaktadır. Psikolojik danışmanlar, aldıkları hizmetleri olumlu katkı ve konsültasyon ihtiyaçlarına yeterli olmayan çözümler şeklinde değerlendirmişlerdir. Katılımcılar, konsültasyon kaynaklarının sürdürülebilir olması için öneriler sunmuşlardır. Bulgular literatürdeki araştırmalarla tartışılmıştır. Hem araştırmacılara hem de uygulayıcılara yönelik öneriler verilmiştir.
