 استكمالا لسلسلة ندوات الكتابة التاريخية في البلدان العربية التي تعتزم عقدها دورية أسطور للدراسات التاريخية، عقدت الدورية ندوة "تجربة الكتابة التاريخية في مصر: نظرة إلى المسار ومراجعة الحصيلة" يومي 1- 2 تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر 2021. ودارت الندوة حول مجموعة من المحاور هي المناهج والاتجاهات التاريخية، والتأريخ لمصر القديمة، والأركيولوجيا وتأريخ الفن، ومجالات البحث في تاريخ مصر الوسيط، وقضايا عثمانية في التاريخ المصري، وكذلك تاريخ مصر المعاصر وتاريخ الآخر. وقد شارك في الندوة مجموعة من المؤرخين والباحثين المصريين. وفي هذا العدد، تنشر أسطور القسم الأول من أوراق هذه الندوة، وستنشر القسم الثاني في العدد السادس عشر. سلسلة ندوات الكتابة التاريخية في البلدان العربية هي مجموعة من الندوات القطاعية، التي تطرح مجموعة من الأسئلة على الباحثين والمؤرخين العرب، من بينها: كيف كتب المؤرخون تاريخ بلدانهم؟ وما الأسئلة التي أرقتهم؟ وما السياقات السياسية والإبستيمية التي قادتهم إلى التركيز على مواضيع دون غيرها؟ وكيف حقبوا التاريخ وفتتوه؟ وما الصعوبات التي تواجههم في إثارة مواضيع جديدة؟ وهل استطاعوا التغلب على فقر المادة التاريخية من خلال الانفتاح على مواد ونصوص جديدة؟ وما صورة انفتاحهم على المدارس الغربية؟ تعتزم أسطور مناقشة بعض هذه القضايا وغيرها من خلال رصد ما توصل إليه البحث التاريخي في البلدان العربية. وتهدف من ذلك إلى تعميق النقاش بين المتخصصين في البلد الواحد. وتهدف أيضا، إلى مناقشة التقاطعات والاختلافات الموجودة في مقاربة القضايا التي طرحت. ومن ثم، تكون بمنزلة أداة أساسية لإنجاز بحوث تركيبية عن تطور المعرفة التاريخية في العالم العربي، بعيدا عن التعميمات والأفكار المسبقة والصور النمطية التي تشكلت. أما الندوات التي تقترحها الدورية، فهي عبارة عن استبيان يتضمن أسئلة عديدة منمطة موجهة إلى المتخصصين في حقل الكتابة التاريخية ممن راكموا تجربة بحثية ذات أهمية.
                  Continuing the series of symposiums on historical writing in the Arab countries, the OStour Journal for Historical Studies held a symposium on “Historical Writing in Egypt: Trajectories and Outcomes” on 1 - 2 November 2021. The symposium revolved around several themes: Curricula and historical trends, the history of ancient Egypt, archaeology and art history, medieval Egyptian history, Ottoman history in Egypt, as well as contemporary Egyptian history and the history of the other in Egypt. A group of Egyptian historians and researchers participated in a symposium and the first section of their papers was published in this issue of Ostour. The second section will be published in the sixteenth issue. Within this framework Ostour will soon be organising various focused seminars on historiography in Arab countries: How have historians written the history of their countries? What are the questions that have kept them awake at night? What are the political and epistemological questions that have led them to favour some topics over others? What periodisations have they adopted? What are the difficulties that they face in taking up new topics? Have they been able to overcome the poverty of historical material by considering new items and new texts? How open have they been to western schools of thought? Ostour will discuss all these issues and more, in the hope of deepening discussions between experts in each country and establishing points of similarity and difference in their approaches. This will serve as a foundation for complex studies of the development of historical knowledge in the Arab World, avoiding the generalisations, prejudices and stereotypes.
